The Andean Countries
The Andean Environmental Agenda 2006-2010 incorporates SCP as a cross-sectoral aspect based on a recommendation from the first sub-regional meeting of government experts. The priorities of the Andean environmental Agenda 2006-2010 are:
The Southern Cone Countries
In this sub-region, Mercosur has incorporated SCP policies in its agenda. This includes the Política de Promoción y Cooperación en Producción y Consumo Sostenibles en el MERCOSUR (Mercosur Policy for Promotion and Cooperation on SCP). The process to develop the policy started with regional consultations and included the definition of subregional priorities, the preparation of national action plans on SCP and the strengthening of international cooperation.

- The formulation and strengthening of national and regional policies on SCP;
- To incorporate the concepts of cleaner production in the industrial sector, and work in favour of sustainable consumption;
- To support the Centre for Production and Consumption for the Andean sub-region.

GRF's Second International Conference: Achievements, Challenges and Dialogues, Rio de Janeiro, June 2012
In Rio de Janeiro in June of 2012, GRF brought together individuals and organizations engaged in research and its applications on the transition towards sustainable production/consumption systems from various regions of the world.
The two and a half-day workshop was divided between a focus on the production of SPaC research and its communication and application in practice. The workshop was by invitation only with 70 participants, researchers and practitioners from various global regions.
In Rio de Janeiro in June of 2012, GRF brought together individuals and organizations engaged in research and its applications on the transition towards sustainable production/consumption systems from various regions of the world.
