Advancing Research and Education
on Sustainable Lifestyles

in the 10 Year Framework of Programmes on
Sustainable Consumption and Production

Vienna, Austria – Friday 20 November 2015

The 10YFP Program Sustainable Lifestyles and Education (SLE) and its Multistakeholder Advisory Committee (MAC) convened in Tokyo in March 2015 and instituted the Research Consortium on Sustainable Lifestyles (RCSL) and the TRANSFORM initiatives. RCSL launched the Mobilizing Research for Sustainable Lifestyles (MORE SL) project later in 2015. TRANSFORM and MORE SL are separate programs but intend to collaborate closely. In addition, close ties with the SLE Flagship projects Igniting Business Investments in Sustainable Lifestyles (IBIS) and Transitioning Cities continue to develop.

The MORE SL Vienna workshop

Aims of the workshop

  • To develop a coherent understanding of the role of sustainable lifestyle research and education within the transition to sustainable production and consumption systems.
  • To develop strategy and working plans for the MORE SL and Transform initiatives and explore their collaboration.
  • To create a project management structure for MORE SL and Transform and their collaboration.
  • To develop separate and collaborative fundraising strategies and proposals
  • To discuss institutional and administrative support.
